      Abdur Razzak Zubaer is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh. His academic and professional expertise lies in environmental engineering, transportation systems, climate resilience, and sustainable planning.

      Mr. Zubaer’s research primarily focuses on environmental impact assessments (EIA), sustainable infrastructure, and the development of vulnerability indices for climate change adaptation and urban sustainability. His work includes publications on structural performance, water resource management, sustainable construction materials, and the effects of climate change, alongside presentations at prominent civil engineering conferences in Bangladesh. He is currently integrating Machine Learning techniques into his research to further analyze environmental and transportation issues.

      Prior to his academic career, Mr. Zubaer gained significant industry experience, contributing to key national projects with organizations such as Bangladesh Railway, Roads and Highways Department (RHD), Department of Environment (DoE), Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC). In these roles, he played a pivotal part in conducting environmental and social impact assessments for renewable energy, transportation, and waste management projects.

      In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Zubaer is committed to student mentorship and upholding academic quality standards. He teaches courses in hydrology, advanced surveying, professional practices, environmental engineering, and water resource engineering. Mr. Zubaer is also an active member of the Global Ambassadors of Sustainability (GAoS) and has earned certifications in circular economy, environmental management, and sustainable project performance. His combination of academic scholarship, industry experience, and dedication to sustainability establishes him as a rising leader in civil and environmental engineering research and practice.
