Biography
Sagor Kumar Podder has been employed
as a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering at the World
University of Bangladesh since January, 2009. Currently, he serves as an
Assistant Professor, fulfilling additional roles as a member of the Institutional
Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). He has 17 years teaching experience in
the area of Civil Engineering.
He is currently pursuing PhD in Structural Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He has completed his M.Sc degree in
Civil & Structural Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering
& Technology (BUET). His M.Sc research was on Development of the mix
proportions of Ultra High- Performance Concrete (UHPC) in the context of
Bangladesh. He has completed his B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering from Rajshahi
University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) in 2007. His B.Sc research was
on a relative study on the toughness of the fiber reinforced mortar.
His
research work interest focuses on the development, characterization, and
optimization of advanced concrete materials, particularly HPC and UHPC, with a
keen interest in understanding their micro-structural properties. He is also
dedicated to teaching and mentoring students in the field of structural
engineering.
