Short Biography:

Taimur Rahman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh. Since 14 September 2012, he has been working with the World University of Bangladesh. He obtained his M.Sc. in Structural Engineering in 2020 from Zhengzhou University in Henan, China, and his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 2012 from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in Dhaka. Prior to joining WUB, he worked at Esquire Group as a Junior Engineer.

His research interests include the thermal gradients associated with long-span bridges, the static behavior of steel-concrete composite truss bridges, the shadow effect on bridge decks, and the application of machine learning to structural engineering.
