Taimur Rahman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh. Since joining the department in 2012, he has become a key figure in both academia and research, specializing in the intersection of structural engineering and artificial intelligence. With a Master’s in Structural Engineering from Zhengzhou University and a Bachelor’s from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Rahman is passionate about using machine learning and deep learning to solve complex structural challenges.
His research spans the development of predictive models, thermal analysis of long-span bridges, and advanced computational methods for improving the resilience and performance of RC structures. Rahman has been instrumental in developing data-driven techniques for structural health monitoring and seismic performance evaluation, contributing significantly to both academic literature and practical applications in the field.
He actively mentors the next generation of engineers and serves on the Departmental Quality Assurance Cell (DQAC), ensuring high academic standards. Rahman has also earned recognition for his published work in leading journals and his commitment to innovation in structural design and safety.
