Short Biography:

Taimur Rahman has been serving as a faculty member within the Department of Civil Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh since September 2012 and presently holds the position of Assistant Professor. He also contributes as a Program Coordinator and as a member of the Departmental Quality Assurance Cell (DQAC).

He completed his M.Sc. in Structural Engineering in 2020 from Zhengzhou University, China, and his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 2012 from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dhaka. Prior to his current role, he was a Junior Engineer at Esquire Group.

Rahman's research intersects structural engineering and advanced technology, focusing on the application of Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) for enhancing structural design, sustainability, and safety. His research areas include thermal gradients in long-span bridges, static behavior of steel-concrete composite truss bridges, and the study of shadow effects on bridge decks.

Committed to both research and education, he is dedicated to inspiring and teaching the next generation of engineers in the evolving field of structural engineering.
