CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

I would like to welcome all of you to the department of Civil Engineering, World University of Bangladesh. From the very beginning of WUB on February 26, 2003 department of Civil Engineering has projected itself as one of the vital departments of the science and engineering faculty. The academic staffs are active in research in all sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering including structural engineering, water and environmental engineering, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering. The teaching and research activities in the department has been contributing to train more excellent engineers. Last couple of years the department produced many graduates at bachelor levels. We are trying to achieve quality education in Civil engineering discipline through utilitarian education and economic emancipation. In order to maintain quality education and continuous improvement of Civil Engineering department, the outcome-based education (OBE) system has been introduced since January 2018. It is expected that the quality of engineering program of Civil Engineering department will top the list of the private universities and reach the quality education level next to BUET.
