Short Biography:

Imtiaz Ahmad Saba is a dedicated academic and an aspiring structural engineer who is passionately carving a path for himself in the world of civil engineering. He recently embarked on a new chapter in his professional journey, joining the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering on September 29, 2025. In this role, he brings fresh perspective and contemporary knowledge to the classroom, eager to inspire the next generation of engineers.

Driven by a relentless pursuit of expertise, Mr. Imtiaz is concurrently advancing his own education. He is currently a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Structures, from the Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST). This dual role as both a teacher and a student uniquely positions him at the intersection of theoretical knowledge and practical application, allowing him to enrich his teaching with the latest advancements in his field.

His academic foundation was solidified at the Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST), where he earned his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering in 2025. During his undergraduate years, Mr. Imtiaz distinguished himself not just through his academic performance but also through his proactive engagement in leadership roles and unwavering commitment to professional development, demonstrating early on his potential as a future leader in the industry.

Mr. Imtiaz's research interests lie at the critical juncture of safety and innovation in structural design. He is particularly focused on Engineering Materials, seismic analysis of building structures, and earthquake engineering. His work aims to contribute to the development of more resilient and durable infrastructure, a field of paramount importance, especially in seismically active regions. Through his research and academic endeavors, Imtiaz Ahmad Saba is poised to make meaningful contributions to both the academic community and the engineering profession.
