Afroza Ayub is a Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh. She holds a Master of Science in Civil (Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental) Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, where her research focused on municipal solid waste degradation in bioreactors, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She also earned an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Programming (Java specialization) from Houston Community College, USA.
Her research interests span geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering, sustainability and climate resilience, and energy geotechnics. She has contributed to funded research projects on landfill sustainability and solid waste management. In addition to teaching and research, she is an Engineer-in-Training licensed in Texas and an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
