Biography
Md.
Farhad Momin is a Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the World University of
Bangladesh. He earned a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ahsanullah University
of Science and Technology (2022) and is pursuing an M.Sc. in Structural
Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). His
publications in Scopus indexed journals demonstrate contributions across
earthquake engineering and materials. He has completed case studies on seismic
evaluation and retrofit of existing reinforced concrete buildings, including
BNBC aligned and CNCRP/JBDPA methodologies. He has coauthored data driven
models that clarify how structural parameters govern the fundamental period of
steel braced RC frames, using methods such as symbolic regression and gradient
boosting. His materials research covers sustainable concretes, including
recycled aggregate, and high and ultra high performance systems, with machine
learning applied to UHPC strength prediction.
