Mr Susankar Chandra Acharjee obtained a PhD. In Transportation Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in December 2024. His Thesis work is the “Evaluation of Road Traffic Safety of Rural Roads in Bangladesh”. Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Structure)  from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1989 (1st Class), and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), his Thesis work was: Analysis of Spine Beam Bridge Deck Finite Element Method”, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Structure & Soil) in 1987 (1st Class, 7th Position) and got over 34 years professional experience for serving local government engineering, department (LGED) Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives, Government of Bangladesh.  Experienced contribution in policy and session making to enhance the momentum of the government for achieving a developed country by flourishing the rural, urban and water sectors of Bangladesh under the Local Government Division.

A strong management supervision capacity to establish sustainable development in every stratum of Bangladesh through ensuring the best quality and cost-effectiveness of different projects executed by LGED.

Excellent proficiency in planning & designing a good number of projects such as the improvement of rural roads, bridges & culverts, growth centres, buildings, flyovers, cyclone shelters, rubber dams, sluicegates & irrigation canals, etc.

Tendering and implementation of a good number of development works through parts of the country, especially in Hill tracks, considering the stabilisation of slope protection.

An immense constructivist manner with foreign delegates and development partners (i.e. World Bank, ADB, JICA, IFAD, KFW, etc). For the assurance of the interest of Bangladesh in the development sector.  The relevant experience most pertinent to the proposed assignment in this project is as outlined below:
