Civil Warriors Crowned Champions of Clemon Uni Campus Cricket Tournament-2025

The Civil Warriors of the Civil Engineering Department at World University of Bangladesh (WUB) emerged as champions of the Clemon Uni Campus Cricket Tournament 2025, defeating the Mechanical Engineering Department in a thrilling final on May 21, 2025.

Mahmudul Hasan Junayed was named Man of the Match in the final for his outstanding performance, which proved crucial in securing the Civil Warriors’ victory.

The inter-departmental tournament, hosted by WUB with the support of Clemon Sports, a concern of the Akij Group, featured 14 teams from 14 departments, making it one of the most vibrant sporting events of the year. The Civil Warriors impressed from the very beginning, displaying teamwork, determination, and consistency throughout the competition.

The closing ceremony was attended by Professor Zaki Imam, Registrar of WUB, and Mr. Sagor Kumar Podder, Assistant Professor and Head of the Civil Engineering Department, along with faculty members from various departments. Their presence highlighted the significance of the event and encouraged students to engage in sports as part of their holistic development.

Beyond the championship, the tournament celebrated sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership among students. It also reflected the university’s commitment to fostering personal growth through extracurricular activities, leaving the tournament as one of the standout highlights of campus life in 2025.
