Activation of 'En-Genius Competition' held at World University of Bangladesh

'GPH Ispat-Prothom Alo En-Genius’ competition has been held for the second time to enhance the structural engineering skills of students of civil engineering department. The activation phase was held at the Founding Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium, on 20 May 2024, at 11 am with the students of Civil Engineering Department of World University of Bangladesh.

Prothom Alo and GPH Ispat jointly organized this competition. The academic partner of the organization is University of Asia Pacific.  A documentary on the late National Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Chowdhury was shown at the event. Academic Coordinator of En-Genius Competition Engineer Ashraful Al Shakur presented the detailed rules for participating in the competition.

Munir Hasan, Chief Coordinator of Prothom Alo's Digital Transformation and Youth Program, said that the En-Genius competition will work to make the new generation of engineers more aware and skillful.

Prof. Zaki Imam, Registrar of World University of Bangladesh, said, "I believe, our students will achieve success with their skills by participating in this competition."

Professor AFM Abdur Rauf, respectable faculty member of Civil Engineering department, said that in this competition, students will try their best to combine talent, knowledge and skills and utilize the opportunities. Mr. Sagar Kumar Poddar, Head of the Civil Engineering department, said that it is most important to be able to pass the stages than to win the competition.
